Frottage

This is the bottom of Jordan 23 pattern on the bottom of the sole.

This my comb that I use every day, the middle is pick comb( afro comb ).
This was my try to do Frottage, it is scissor blade that makes the triangle the romote to my tv in the middle of the triangle. The square next to the open triangle is my book.

Collage

I pick this because it does have a meaning behind it. It was in a game calles portal 2. That people will believe in all most anything if their is something in it in the end for us. It show how robots will one day be ever thing. They will do every thing. In this case gives us test. These test are life or death and all we know is that there is something in the end for us. It show how easy manipulate us humans and how a robots knows how easy it is to do that.

Trip to the Metro.

I found all these interesting. The one I like the most was the last one. It a loin that didn't  make it as time passed by.

Why not? Nintendo.

I call this Why not? Nintendo. Why? Well to me this is what I did grow up with. The drawing shows thing such as favorite game, favorite things, and even things I didn't like about it. Pokemon is the first game I every played so it had to be here. Pikmin (ship) was the only game I never beaten. Mario was the first game I ever beat on my own. Zelda quick became one my favorite games. I hate the blue shell in Mario kart. And the Gameboy to 3ds shows what was first to what is now (systems).
(Not able to see but is there Master hand game: Super smash bro)

Impressionism Painting

Vincent van Gogh starry night. Compare.

Trip to PS1

This trip to Ps1 had to be the weird. I didn't feel like I belong there at all. To me it felt like all Mike Kelley wanted to do was freak you out. Well that how I felt but others might think different. But what I did like was the set up of the place. In a old school it felt great roaming around a school again. I did also like some of the setups there too. (picture above) the glowing city reminded me a game I play called Bioshock. Overall it was a wired trip and I'm sure I wont be going back.

FINAL PROJECT!!!!

1.    You must express, in writing, the experience you intend the viewer to have when they look at your work and explain how you attempt to achieve that effect.
The effect that I want the viewer to have is buying every new video games that comes out the same as alcohol addiction. Another thing I wanted to show was no matter what games come out people cant stop themselves from getting it, just like this drinking bird cant stop drinking.
2.   You must explain why that effect is important in today's society, and what role you think art should/will have in society.
The effect that this has on society is that gamers have addiction to new release. What I'm taking about is the minute a brand new system comes out we have to buy. I'm not taking about the gamers that just buy games and only buy the top rated release, I'm taking about the hardcore gamers. The one who's jobs are to buy, play, and rate all theses new games and systems. Again I feel this about almost everything. A new phone comes out, almost all must have it, new jordan's, and even new cars. The bird is consumer well the mug is the things we continue to buy, even if we don't need it.

Ancient Egyptian and Greece art style are very similar in many ways. They portrayed gods, rulers, and important figures such as hero as the most important people in their cultures. They are drawn as big figures with many details to show them apart from the other people in that drawing.   In ancient Egyptian gods would be drawn with great details and show what they did as gods. Weather they were the gods of death, sun, weather, or night they pray to all of them. They showed their ruler the pharaohs bigger than anyone else; they would also draw them doing their favorite hobbies. In many case they would be drawn standing or sitting next to the gods, as many believed the pharaohs were gods as well. As for the Greek art they would show whatever they draw with great detail as well. Gods and heroes would be shown as a perfect being. This style became big as many of their painting showed many gods or heroes with no flaw. They also showed that can do no wrong and that they were great people. But the stories behind each drawing are interesting. The drawings I will be showing you are that of the God of death Anubis from ancient Egypt and Hercules from Greek.

But the stories behind each drawing are interesting. The drawings I will be showing you are that of the God of death Anubis from ancient Egypt and Hercules from Greek.

These two drawing both show a lot of great detail of Anubis and Hercules. One the left it shows Hercules finishing one of the task he was given. Killing the erymanthian boar by trapping it. And on the right it shows the god of death Anubis. Anubis was the first thing you see on the path of the underworld. Anubis would be there waiting ready to see if your heart was pure to continue into the afterlife. The scale showed is what he would use to see if your heart was pure enough. You see many believed that in order to have an afterlife filled with riches and goods you would have to earn it. Story says that if your heart weight less than a feather your heart was pure enough. If you your heart was heavier than the feather the God Ammut would appear and eat.

To compare and contrast both Anubis and Hercules you cant cause they don’t share anything. Now if I were compare and contrast both of them to Superman Anubis wouldn’t share anything. Both Superman and Anubis share noting more than how artest view them But the drawings of Superman and Hercules share a lot. For one both show super strength. The story behind Hercules say that he corned a boar and killed something no other man could do. And superman would protect the world again something no other man can do.  An thing both drawing can share is that their perfect beings. They have no flaw physical. They both are the perfect human from.  A difference in both drawings is the fact, that Superman is mostly coved while Hercules is almost naked. This show what kind society we live in. Now a day we live in a society that doesn’t approve of nudity in artwork. And if we do we bash it.
Sorces: Every Superman made.

Allow me to introduce the taker of life Yveltal. This guy share nothing with Greek hero but it does share something’s with the God of death Anubis. For one both are gods, one that takes life whenever is life is about expire, and Anubis is the keeper/watcher of death as well as the god of embalming. While Anubis waits to cast judgment based on the weight of the heart while Yveltal kills to make sure it can continue living. Both share different art styles as one is shown as cartoon/video game anime will the other is drawn in the art style of their time. Yveltal is drawn to looking intimidating while Anubis is drawn to base on a Jackal that would always be there in the cemetery, this lead them to believe that were the watchers of the dead. Another thing they share in common is the fact that there both animals. One is a jackal and the other is a vulture The difference they share is based on their backstory while came to be based on what they saw and what they believed the other came from a legend. A legend based on a Nordic mythology which show had a large bird type monster in it. It was said that would take life.
 Sroces: Pokemon y story

It really interesting to see how far we came in how many different art style there are, also it great to compare and contrast all these different art styles. But to see that some from is still used today. Or the many different story that lead to making of some of these art style

James Turrell and Cave Art

On Monday I went to the Guggenheim Museum to see the way James Turrell used light to showoff his style of art and it was great. I saw how this works and I see similarities between his work and The Cave of forgotten Dreams. But with similarities there are also differences between both arts.
The similarities are their, they both use lights to show off there work. While James use light from a source (sunlight). He used sunlight to show his work. Whenever light came through he would use that to create a room filled with light, which people just spend time looking up to. Were in The cave of forgotten dreams use the light from torches, the light from this torches make the art on the wall almost come to life. Almost like a story.
The difference between the both is clear. One uses drawings to showoff. While it great to be in a room were the light would change to different color's and it was a great place to just sit and stare, I rather be in the cave. (Too bad no one can enter it.) The way the art on the wall are shown is truly amazing. For them to have like that back then, just leaves me wondering on how they did that. With the drawings looking like that are moving, and all they added was a few extra body parts to show a animal walking (or give it life).
And this is all cause of the movement of light.

Aparedes3185 (Nintendo 64)

Hi my name is Anthony P.
I'm majoring Liberal Arts.

You know at first glance you think that this is trash. But in all honesty it show you how far we really came in this world. If you ever had play this you can see what I'm talking about. There where no HDMI graphic , no wireless controller, no playing online. The graphics were 3D with blocks as art this was standard graphics. To play with friends or family they had to come over or you had to go there house, there was no sitting in your and talking on a mic.
To me this means a lot of things. It means great times just sitting on the floor and playing videogames. The friends and family that came over just to play. It reminds me of the hours I spending doing homework and getting good grades just so I could play at the end of the week. Overall it just shows me how far we came in the world. To HDMI/3D graphics, to games that you can on the road, to games that you can play on your phones. We came a long way from 1996.
